The protagonists of Russian Art Week launch in London
The 7th edition of the Russian Art Week opened yesterday 27th November 2015 with a spectacular evening in the £15 million suite at the Corinthia Hotel Apartments.
Number 10 Whitehall Place hosted a wonderful launch evening sponsored by Knight Frank Estate Agents, Bonham's Auction House founded in 1793 and Remy Martin - who offered their exceptional Louis XIII Cognac, presented in Baccarat crystal bottles that sell at $25,000 each.
The whole week will be full of various interesting and wonderful events all over London: conferences, exhibitions, auctions, theatre productions, Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker and his opera Eugene Onegin will both be performed at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in order to highlight and bring Russian culture, and above all art, to our city.
The Gagliardi Gallery, on King's Road in London, was chosen to set the scene for a successful and impressive opening evening with a magnificent display of paintings that were admired and praised by all the guests attending the event.
Experts from the Bonham's Auction House analysed the way people are turning always more towards alternative forms of investment, such as the art market, for passion more than just for mere business reasons. Investors are younger and therefore more prone to spend their money on alternative and satisfactory investments for pure passion, and a beautiful piece of art is the utmost solution as the Gagliardi Gallery knows full well having been on the market for almost 40 years at a very high qualitative level.
We look forward to all the interesting and amazing events organised, and to seize the opportunity to widen our knowledge of this incredible culture that is Russia.
